The Gigaopto's QSFP+ LR4 Optical Transceiver Module is designed for use in 40GBASE Ethernet throughput up to 10km over single mode fiber (SMF) via an LC duplex connector.

The transmitter section consists of four directly modulated uncooled CWDM 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331nm DFB lasers and four drivers . The receiver section incorporates four PIN photodiodes integrated with four trans-impedance preamplifiers (TIA) and four limiting post-amplifier ICs. The Gigaopto technology enables the integration of 4 transmitters, 4 receivers and an optical MUX/DeMUX into a small form factor package that delivers a 40Gbps data link in a compact 38-PIN QSFP+ footprint.

Digital diagnostic functions are also available via the I2C interface, as specified by the SFF-8472, to allow access to real-time operating parameters.

This transceiver is fully compliant with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-LR4 and OTU3 C4S1-2D1 standard.

With these features, this easy to install, hot swappable transceiver is suitable to be used in various applications, such as data centers,high-performance computing networks,enterprise core and distribution layer applications.
