Description
This 10GBASE-BXD-1 SFP BiDi transceiver is small form factor pluggable module for duplex optical data communications such as 10GBASE-LR/LW defined by IEEE 802.3ae. It is with the SFP+ 20-pin connector to allow hot plug capability.
The SFP+ BIDI LR transceiver consists of two parts: the transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well 1330nm DFB, which is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC-60825. The receiver section uses a 1270nm integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC.
The max transmission can reach up to 10km over standard single mode fiber (SMF) with an LC simplex receptacle.
Built with hardened components, this bidirectional transceiver is ruggedly designed to withstand extended industrial temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. It is suitable for enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, etc.
Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472, this module is fully compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and the IEEE 802.3ae standards.
