Gigaopto’s GTS-B2396-40DC is designed for long reach 10Gb/s duplex optical data communications application such as 10GBASE-ER/EW defined by IEEE 802.3ae. It is with the SFP+ 20-pin connector to allow hotplug capability.

The transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well 1270nm DFB laser, which is class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC-60825.The receiver section uses an integrated 1330nm InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC.

This 10GBASE-BX40-U SFP BiDi transceiver is compliant with SFF-8431,SFF-8432 standard. Digital diagnostic functions are available via an I2C interface, as specified in SFF-8472.

Featuring low power consumption, high speed, this bidirectional 10G SFP+ transceiver is ideal for data center, 10G Ethernet etc.
