Description
The GIGAOPTO's GTS-B5412-80DC transceiver is a single fiber bi-direction 1000Mbps Small Form-factor Pluggable SFP BIDI module for 1000BASE-BX Gigabit Ethernet per IEEE802.3z and 1G Fiber Channel long reach application. The SFP BX80 transceiver provides up to 80km of 1000Base-BX throughput over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1550nm-TX/1490nm-RX wavelengths via LC simplex connectors.
Compared to commonly used dual-fiber SFP transceiver modules, this BiDi SFP transceiver allows end users to reduce the total cost of fiber cabling infrastructure by requiring half the fiber optic cable to provide more transmission capacity without installing new fiber.
The SFP BIDI transceivers are designed to be compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement and SFF-8472 digital diagnostics functions.
